2009

5/3 - Rochester Vascular - Dr. Allan Tulloch was awarded second place in the Resident Research Competition at the Rochester Vascular 2009 conference for his presentation entitled "Superhydrophilic Thin Film Nickel Titanium:  A Novel Thromboresistant Material for Covered Stents."  His presentation was selected from a field of 18 presentations, which were, in turn, selected from 40 abstracts submitted. Dr. Tulloch's work is sponsored by the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC) of the U.S. Army and the UCLA Department of Surgery.

3/9 - SPIE/ASME - Young Jae Chun received the "Honorable Mention" award for the "Best Student Paper Competition" at the 2009 SPIE/ASME conference in San Diego. Chun's paper titled Superelastic NiTi Thin Film Small Vessel Graft for Vascular Repair was written with Danial S. Levi, K.P. Mohanchandra, and Gregory P. Carman. Read More.
